A dream seven years in the making, SoCo For Hair is Teresa O'Brien's vision for a place of southern comfort. With over three decades of experience in the hair industry, Teresa, a native of Massachusetts, spent most of her career in Atlanta, GA working for arguably one of the top salons in the nation, Van Michael Salon. While there she earned the title of educator, as well as Master Colorist, maintained a high profile list of guests (including local celebrities), and appeared on TLC’s “A Makeover Story”.

Although at the top of her game, Teresa knew she had more to offer and Jacksonville was the perfect place to bring her inspiration she had taken from the streets of New York, with it’s departmentalized salons like those found in other fashion capitals. So with dream in hand she made the transition from Atlanta to Jacksonville and over the course of only two and a half years was able to lay the ground work for what is now known as SoCo For Hair.

Now a resident of Ponte Vedra, Teresa has gone on to receive national recognition in her field as a REDKEN Certified Colorist, having the highest level of competency a colorist can have in the industry. She believes that education is the most important aspect of a salon professional career and continues to maintain a modernized understanding of trends and techniques.

But not only does Teresa believe in the continuing of her own education, but the education of her staff as well to insure that each guest is met with the same level of dedication and expertise as in her own chair. Through education, motivational team building, and a professional atmosphere Teresa strives to create a place where both the stylist and guest can feel confident in the outcome of each visit.
